What got Crystal Shepherd to start riding? Started skateboarding at first and found it frustrating so changed to bikes and I had a little park across the road from my house so me and friends built dirt jumps there every afternoon and jumped them. It was so much fun.
How is the riding scene where you live? The riding scene where I live is pretty quiet and there are not too many parks and places to ride but I ride with my brother a lot and usually ride our indoor skatepark a fair bit and make the most of it. We recently got a new park built and its pretty smooth and decent so might get a few more people riding… hopefully.
The female BMX scene is picking up. How is it in Australia? Yeah it’s going good. There are a fair few girls out riding now and I see different girls showing up at comps to ride now.
Best place traveled: Best place I traveled was Woodward West for two weeks. It was amazing and I had so much fun over there. I met so many great people and learnt a bunch of new tricks.
Where do you want to travel to: There are some new parks in Australia that have been built. I would like to ride a couple of indoors on the Gold Coast. The skateparks in China would be awesome.
What get’s you motivated to ride: Fun people to ride with that are motivating, anything new(ramps, bike etc), watching a good BMX DVD.
